Who was it who wanted evidence of glitches earlier? Here's one that a superb guy on rllmuk made earlier.....

So after a couple more positive comments, it again shows it is possible for people to like DRIV3R, and therefore possible for PSM2 and XBW to like it too.

Edit- *Looks up*.

Any game review outside the magazines mentioned several times in this topic and a few websites is complete and utter tripe. They are nearly always influence entirely by the writers personal preference, show shite English and complete lack of knoweledge for the games industry, yet alone their own.

This was to Jamiej's post.

I'm glad to see that a guy with no grammar, and a review from a music mag, are able to influence you so! Come on tnman, you must be able to see how dodgy the whole PSM2/XBW thing looks, surely!!!

I don't know they might be DivX in which case google DivX and download the DivX players. The AVIs might be modified DivX AVIs which are compressed and, er, stuff.

And by the way the frist mov doesn't work at all - dead link - I really wanted to see the flying car! I thought that was only possible in GTA: Vice City...

Hehe. While they may be out of the "norm", it still shows people like the game...

I can see how it looks, but I can bypass it safe in the knowledge that they wouldn't do such a thing. It's just not cricket at the good ol' Future offices.

Hey Eighthours you do realise there's only about 5 movies there! They're just copied and pasted over and over.

Bit cheeky!

The TG.N forum software is unspeakably sh!t, with a 'repeating' bug that's been there since God knows when.

yesterday in the grip of furious anger I wrote:
I retract anything nice or positive i've ever said about Driv3r. i'm on the chase mission, after the botched meeting with the bagman dude. i've begun chasing calita, and at some random distance i fail the mission, even though i can still f**king see her! when she gets overthe bridge and i'm told to find another route, i turn around and head back, only to fail the mission because i'm too far away! this game can just f**k off. i thought it was good, but i have no idea why i'm chasing all these people (due to the vaguely bland plot) who seem to drive perfectly, even making the AI of Gran Turismo look poor and amateurish.

I apologise to anyone who had to spend the time and physical energy to diasgree with my posts about the goodness of this game. It is a cankerous floater that deserved to be flushed, along with all the other turds.

Btw, has anyone noticed that (with the exception of FSW) all the uber-hyped, utter shite games have these "preview dvds" that you get when you pre-order them (Tomb Raider AOD, True Crime, DRIV3R!!!)

Now i'll go back to Ikaruga, a game that's impossibly hard because it was designed that way, rather than Driv3r, which is impossibly hard because it wasn't designed at all. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I apologise again. I had had a bad day, and Driv3r's little annoyances had gotten to me. It's not that bad, it can actually be quite fun. It's one of those games that comes into it's own once you've finished it, where you know what to do, and it's a matter of making it look good for the cameras.

Perhaps another angle on the reviewer bribe thing is that perhaps, just maybe, some of the reviewers liked it, and some others didn't?

*Sigh*.
Yes, I've been pretty much saying that since page 18 now.

So the 2 reviewers who just happen to have the exclusive, are the only 2 reviewers who actually like the game enough to give it a good score......

*consults William Hill for odds*

Trelliz,

I respect subjective opinion of course. Critcally here nothing about the condition of the game is mentioned in either review. Therefore there is nothing on their impact on gameplay. There is a nine out of ten review sticker on the box and some sequential stuff reciprocated in the booklet and magazine. The wider issues here are engulfing this title and it serves Atari right for releasing an unfinished game out to the public and then trying to choke the reviews.

Sorry, i haven't been keeping up on this, one of the fastest growing topics ever. Perhaps it'll breach the 100 page mark. Has that ever been done before?
