Yeah, if the articles
accurate it sounds like it's been noticed by
Future and possibly Atari too..

However, if Future fails to extinguish
the early flames of the scandal, the
implications for the games magazine sector could
be dire…
Atari declined to comment on
the issue when contacted
today. | _________________ http://www.silver-sun.co.uk/ -

No, I'm sure I saw that
posted on rllmuk before this thread started, I
think anyway. _________________ [>Photowall<] [>GR Celebdaq<] [>Pub

It was posted on gamestyle

about this topic being used by Spong? _________________ HELLO. I am an

Kinda ironic ain't it?
Forget Future stepping in, he'll probably delete
it himself now.. _________________ http://www.silver-sun.co.uk/ -

I love the fact
that you can't copy and paste Spong's material
(you have to actually write it out on a post if
you want it to get on here, as a pop-up window
comes up telling you to get it "licensed" if you
try to C+P), but they see fit to lift stuff posted
on here without providing a link to it!!
The sheer hypocrisy!!
Anyway, this
is bad for Tim Weaver, as he has always seemed
like a good guy, particularly when he was running
N64 mag.......appears to be at the end of his
tether at the moment though. I wish he'd come on
here and say what was happening. Future seem to be
battening down the hatches, but there must be some
kind of turmoil within and questions being
asked. _________________ Humiliate John Rodney Bennett

Another
intresting point I have read in MVC today is that
Warner Bros are going to charge higher royalty
payments to games using a film licence that don't
score more than 70% in reviews....
I think
we can all see the problems with that, and as
Alison Beasley of Lincoln Beasley says (no I
haven't heard of them either)
Quote: |
Will undoubtedly mean that
some journalists and magazine publishers will be
heavily pressurised into giving 70+ socres - big
IP (intellectual property) sells magazines. It's
not inconveivable to envisage agreements between
companies that give coverage (front covers,
demos, etc) in return for high
scores |
so could this get worse
berfore it gets better?
I am glad I don't
subscribe or buy any games magazines any more, I
relasied when I got a copy of PC Gamer which was
missing 50 pages that I should stop the sub as I
cba to ask for a new copy...) | |

The reason why
spong don't let you copy stuff off there website
is because I informed them a while back that
another website (i shall not mention) was directly
stealing there news... I mean absolute copy/paste.
They were very kind to me and sent Pro
Evolution Soccer 2 through the post to me to say
thanks.
I'm sure the Guys at Spong have
used this thread in a way to promote the very
cause of it. After all the bigger and wider spread
this thread gets the better in my opinion. I'm
sure they aren't "stealing" it for there own gain
and they had the decency to state where they
quoted it from. _________________ ... you

expecting this, hell we're 'just a forum' after
all.
2 Xbox sites have got it up,
Eurogamer & Gibiz have both mentioned it &
Spong is also making a big deal out of it. Not to
mention the countless discussions about it on
message boards. I can't wait to see what Future
say, if anything, about all
this. _________________ That's a disc drive.
What's been in them you ask? Well:
PS2 - Smackdown
HCTP, PSM2 disc 51. Xbox - Driv3r

Do not
copy and paste stories from other sites. They
don't like it. For the conspiracy theoriests out
there - yes, I have mentioned this before and
ripped out copy+paste
