SINISTER EVIL MEGA-GLOBAL CORPORATION
(1) The powerful conglomerate that owns AMIGA POWER. (2) A powerful non-specific conglomerate.
Example 1: "We are all in thrall to the SINISTER EVIL MEGA-GLOBAL CORPORATION."
Example 2: "It is a time of war between SINISTER EVIL MEGA-GLOBAL CORPORATIONS."
Secret origin: Obscure. JN?
Note: Variations include: SINISTER MEGA-GLOBAL CORPORATION, THE SINISTER ORGANISATION BEHIND AMIGA POWER, etc.
Note: It should, of course, be SINISTER EVIL GLOBAL MEGA-CORPORATION, but that doesn't sound 'right.' And isn't silly enough.

Alphabet

Spook!
An expression of surprise. Often highlights a peculiar circumstance.
Example: "Monkey Island 2 features no monkeys. Spook!"
Secret origin: The original Matt Bielbyism. Introduced in YS.
First used: AP-Zero
Note: Sometimes considered, erroneously, to have been taken from that comic who dressed as a convict, posed shifting his weight jitteringly from heel to toe and jumping backwards ("Spook!") whenever he reached a punchline, and who was incredibly well-known for about five months before vanishing without trace. (We can't even remember his name. Possibly it was Spook.)

Alphabet

Stupid scum
See You are all stupid scum and deserve to die.

Alphabet

Surely that's a foul, ref?
(1) A reference to any act of comically excessive violence. (2) An ironic caption for a screenshot of a foul from a football game.
Example: "She shoots him in the face. Surely that's a foul, ref?"
Secret origin: Traditional. (Possibly from the Viz strip, Billy The Fish.) Adapted by Stuart Campbell.
Note: Not to be confused with "Ref-e-ree!", an expression of dismay at something having unfairly gone wrong, used occasionally about the office but not in the mag itself.
