A throwaway joke, it caught on stunningly, peaking around the mid-AP50s when every writer and every reader capitalised words for effect (usually involving corporations or a Satan joke).

Its sinister influence can be seen as early as AP52, when it was sufficiently widespread for me to write Timekeepers without any capitalisation and consider it a concept review.

Another joke, then, that was driven into the ground.
