FAIRPLAY COMMENT: The games industry attempts to attack FairPlay by claiming the campaign will put small retailers out of business. Yet we haven't received a single message of complaint from an independent retailer (or a large chain retailer, come to that). Every one that's contacted us has offered their support and encouragement. Perhaps they're all tired of having to slash their margins and heavily discount software in order to make it sell, because consumers are tired of the publishers' rip-off prices?
