MAN UTD END OF SEASON VIDEO REVIEW - June 1996
| What is it with you English and Manchester United? They win
the Championship a few times playing some of the most positive and exciting football seen
in your league in years, do it with some of the best flair players ever to grace the
English game combined with young talent brought up through the ranks, and they've
even got the good grace to fuck up occasionally for our entertainment (Selhurst Park, York
City, invisible shirts). But all you do is whinge, whinge, whinge. What's the matter
with you? Would you REALLY rather hand trophies to heartless, gutless automatons like
Blackburn Rovers? (At least when Man U went out of Europe last year they went out
fighting, unlike Rovers and our own national embarrassment, Glasgow Rangers). So Ferguson
likes a bit of a moan - yeah, Dalglish, Keegan and Evans are the life and soul of the
party, aren't they? Get a grip of yourselves, for Christ's sake. The video? It's two and a quarter hours long. VERDICT: An end-of season review. Of Manchester United. **** |
