After the chuckle-headed mish-mash that was the original AP CD, we were determined that a second would be carefully planned and splendid.

I can't remember if we'd by then decided on a 60-second trailer to open the already partly-arranged game-packed Subs Letter-type teletext-themed Platter Of Champions, but someone (I believe Steve Faragher) was idly toying with another magazine's cover CD when he found it had a digitised review section.

It was astoundingly horrible, with playable demos replaced by the reviewers talking into camera about games they were playing - live!, and the editor walking around pouncing intrusively on staff who clearly wanted to beat him to death with the camcorder and burn his remains.

Truly inspirational.

We discussed Good Bits in Trailers and suggested parts of Bath that would look interesting for things to happen in and that we could easily run away from if challenged, then I wrote the script for the trailer in about an hour (the milk-bottle gag was Cam's from one of his unfinished college films) and just as new scenes had been suggested for the rewrite and Cam had organised an editing suite Simon the Publisher announced the second CD had been cancelled. Not a frame had been shot.

The special edition of the trailer, and, indeed, the script for the film itself, must therefore remain a secret.
