The Schoolboy Spoilsport is, I believe, the single most-hated page ever to appear in AMIGA POWER. At least some people thought the two pages of Total were charmingly patronising, or possibly secretly ironic.

The problem is that there's no frame of reference for anyone born after 1925 who hasn't found any St Jim's books in fusty bookshops; also, it's badly written and there are far too many exclamation marks. Charlie Hamilton used a lot, but not this hosingly.

Sarah's design expertly mimicked the original layouts, but I'd messed up big time. It was The Schoolboy Spoilsport that prompted Steve The Publisher's edict that all Back Pages must have something to do with computer games.
