I first heard this in a surprisingly entertaining Twilight Zone parody performed by Stephen Fry in an episode of (probably) A Bit Of Fry And Laurie.

Basically he'd keep saying "An ordinary day. Or is it? Or IS it?"... right up to "And now the ordeal is over. Or is it? Or..." Etc.
