SUBSCRIBER'S LETTER 1 - February 1992
Dear Subscriber, You lucky, lucky so-and-so. Not only do you get to read AMIGA POWER, the world's sexiest Amiga games magazine, not only do you get it at a special sexy don't-pay-any-more-for-double-disk-issues- price, not only did you get a fabulously sexy free game when you subscribed, not only do you get it delivered to your very doorstep every month by a deeply sexy postman or woman without all that tedious mucking around with going down to the shops and everything, but on top of all that, you also get a fabulously sexy and exclusive letter from me, Stuart Campbell, the man they're all calling 'that obnoxious Scottish git'. I just wish I was you, that's all I can say. Actually, the main reason I wish I was you is that you don't have to write this letter and try to think of things to tell people about the enormously sexy eleventh issue of AMIGA POWER that they couldn't find out just by looking at the cover anyway, but given that I'm not you, and therefore I do have to do it, let's get on with it. In issue 11 of the impossibly gorgeous magazine they're all calling AMIGA POWER, Ocean fetishists can have all their wildest dreams come true as we go completely overboard on the company they're all calling (er...) 'Ocean'. Judge for yourself whether the Manchester giant is all washed-up or whether their ship is really about to come in as we talk to sexy Software Director Gary Bracey and run a critical eye over their planned releases for 1992 in a gargantuan seven (count 'em!) page feature. Then there's a bumper, sexier-than-ever four-page Definition Of Sound special on platform games, and a couple of great new features which start this issue too. On one hand there's the very sexy Diary Of A Game, studying the development of Mega lo Mania 2 from first byte to finished product, and on the other hand there's the really sexy Amiga Universe, a comprehensive guide to every half-decent game character ever created. You're going to love them, probably. And of course, don't forget the games world's only definitive reviews section, this month taking a fine tooth comb to the games they're all calling 'Harlequin ', 'Abandoned Places ', 'John Madden's American Football 'and lots more. Read reviews of PC and ST games masquerading as the Amiga versions or months-from-complete demos pretending to be the real thing elsewhere if you like, but when you want the truth, you know where to come. AMIGA POWER - what's wrong with being sexy?
